“Networking with Multicultural Groups”

The 11th Annual National Black Student Union Conference will be held November 21-23, 2008, Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, Lincolnshire, Illinois.  The attendance at the 10th Annual NBSU Conference (560) exceeded the 9th Annual NBSU Conference by over 100 students.  Seventy-seven (77) campuses were represented, this calls for an expansion of workshops, forums, and BSU Best Practices Sessions at the 11th Annual Conference.  The attached tentative conference agenda will be updated a month before the conference.

The 11th Annual NBSU Conference will continue with a registration fee of $175.00 per student for those who register by November 7, 2008.  The registration fee after this date will be $200.00 per student.  Early registration will enable us to confirm provisions for services, and complete conference programs.  Campuses that register early are given priority for serving as moderators, and facilitators.

The $175.00 registration fee is for conference meals and conference support.  A state rate for housing is available at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, (847) 634-0100.  A refund of registration fees will be granted up to three days before the conference upon request.

Conference participants are encouraged to arrive by Friday, November 21, 11:00 am for the 6th Annual NEON Corporate Fair (Graduate Study Forum).

The Office of National Black Student Union staff is available for further information.  A conference registration form for submission by fax and mail is attached.
